I am a large (6'3",270lbs) old person (65) with a flat foot who developed plantar fascitis. I was actually limping around. I placed this NB arch support (I have tried others with no success.) in my sport shoe and got immediate releif. In a short time, the plantar fascitis was not an issue. I have just purchased my 5th pair and have them in all my sport shoes, have not tried them in dress shoes. Now, I think I am cured. I stop wearing the supports........ended up taking a 5 mile walk and the next day I am hurting....back to the supports....pain releif.

I received these shoes in the mail the other day and after tearing into the packaging, I noticed a few things; These shoes are not going to win any beauty awards. They're ugly. Undertered by that, I slipped them on and laced them up and was amazed by how good they felt on my feet. I'm a big guy, 6'6 and 240 lbs and I felt like these shoes were having sex with my feet. They also breath extremely well. I am concerned that they may not hold up since the soles seem to be held on entirely with glue, and not a stitch anywhere, but I won't knock any stars from this review based on assumption. I'll update in a month or so with how they're holding up. One thing I would make very clear, these are not "Trail shoes". There is a very large horseshoe shaped divot in the heel portion that looks cool, but I can see already that running on anything but hardball or a treadmill will probably not be the best thing you could do to either your feet or these shoes.

I used them for work, delivering water and salt. Kept my feet comfortable and had air movement to keep them cool when it was hot. Decent length of life, but I'm hard on shoes. I really enjoyed them.

I purchased these shoes about 6 months ago because my old shoes were ratty, and uncomfortable. The moment I put my feet into these shoes, I knew I had found the right ones. There literally was no adjustment for me. The shock absorbers really to provide a good cushin, and don't wear out. After 6 month+ of wear and much abuse, they are still holding up very well. I'll buy these shoes again. Maybe next time I'll just try a new color for the heck of it.

I got the shoes pretty fast. I had heard some complaints about them being stiff, but I think thay're great. Perfect for running, jumping, etc. I highly recommend.

This is the 2nd pair of these that I've bought and I'm still impressed. Comfortable and durable.

Overall these are a pretty standard pair of fitness pants. I like the way they look as they have a nice clean design. As I have stated in numerous reviews, I hate the really busy designs that we see so often today in clothing, this is especially true with today's athletic shoes and clothing. Thankfully that isn't the case here as the contrast side stripes add a bit of color and keep the design nice and simple. The 100% polyester pants are made with New Balance's LIGHTNING DRY® fabric which wicks away moisture extremely well. They also have an elastic waist band with internal draw cord and standard side seam pockets. These have an overall relaxed fit which means they are a bit roomier than standard fit or slim fitting athletic pants. I have somewhat skinny legs so I actually prefer my athletic pants with a more tailored, slimmer fit. Because of the relaxed fit I prefer using these pants more for lounging around than actually working out in them and since these are labeled as relaxed fit, the fact that they are roomier really shouldnt be seen a negative as that's how they are designed and some people prefer this style fit. I knew when I ordered them that I would most likely use them more as a lounge pant than an athletic pant. If you prefer a more relaxed fit then these will be perfect for you. Overall they are very comfortable. The fabric is a bit thin which makes them ideal for warmer weather, not so great for cooler weather, at least not without some sort of base layer. I wound up giving these a 3 star rating because overall these are a very basic/average athletic pant. The subtraction of two stars isn't because of something negative, its simply because there is nothing above average about these pants. If your looking for a pair of relaxed fit athletic pants and plan on using them either in warmer weather or indoors then I would definitely recommend these pants. For the price its a good deal especially if you get them on sale. I wound up buying 2 pairs for only 10 bucks a pair. Just another killer deal at Amazon!

These sweats were a decent deal and look good. The problem I have with them is the material is paper thin and kind of flimsy. When I work out at the gym I like some thickness to the material for a layer of protetion from the equipment. These are so thin and light which may benefit some. They look good although they seem to run a bit small compared to other brands of athletic pants. I would not buy these again.

These shoes are great. I was running using Puma shoes previously, and these new balance are much better. Those dang Chinese pumas are not comfortable for running at all. I'm very happy with these shoes.

I'll give five stars to the service at Road Runner Sports, but unfortunately, the New Balance shoes have a defect in the right heel that make them very uncomfortable. I'm returning the shoes for an exchange and will probably choose another brand. Through all, Road Runner Sports has been very easy to deal with. I was especially surprised how fast I received the shoes given that they were so deeply discounted from retail price.

This shoe is great for running on/off road and as a casual everyday shoe. Only problem I had with ordering was sizing. Every NB shoe I have ever worn is size 12D. My size 12D was too short and too tight. So, after returning, I went with a 12.5D which was slightly big but acceptable. Even with the double shipping cost and return, my shoes were still less than $100.

Due to the high reviews on Amazon I bought these sight unseen which I have never done with a running shoe. Pros: Good fit look good well padded made in USA Cons: Stiff high price for what you get. My previous running shoes were Adidas trail runners, I don't remember the style but it is discontinued. They were flexible, comfortable, and cost less than these NB's. Wish I could find more of those. A couple two-mile jogs to break in the NB's produced slightly sore feet but that's to be expected. All in all an OK shoe but probably not what I would have bought if I had tried them on first.

The New Balance Men's MR993 is an excellent running shoe, the construction is very high to outstanding quality, the cushioning is excellent, the design is also excellent and the shoes are very durable and comfortable. Jon Green

Run is fun with these pair of shoes! Its my first time wearing New Balance, from long time ago i wanted to try NB. It was love a first sight with these model, i was going to buy a Nike until i found these. Dont regret. I still need to try other brands, but i doubt i cant ever stop wearing NB. I used to run with Reebook, Puma, and had a great experience with them. But these NB make me feel like im flying instead of running jajaj.

My husband has a very high arch and a wide foot at the front. These runners are perfect - they have good toe cap space and are very adjustable to accommodate the narrower heel area. There is plenty of room for an orthodic device. They are light weight but extremely stable. He couldn't be happier.

Out of all the shoes I have ever purchased to run in these are one of the best. I'm a big guy and since I have started running in theses shoes I no longer suffer with the sore and painful knee and ankle problems that I had with other brands. Just so you know I have read reviews from other Big runners who have not been happy with these shoes but there seem to be an even larger number who love them to death including me, in fact I'm so happy I just placed and order for 2 more pair because NB is phasing them out and they are being replaced with the 1012, which is almost the same but different Color(Blue).

I decided to get back into running this past spring after about 8 years off. I went to the local running store and had my stride analyzed and everything b/c I'd put on a lot of weight in the interveening years and wanted to make sure I got the right shoes. Well, even though I made the comment in the store to the salesman that these shoes almost seemed like some sort of medical device due to their constrution, I went with them since I'm a slightly flat-footed overpronator. Yes, they have a good, wide toebox, though not as wide as the Asics and Mizunos that I tried. The first time I ran in them, I got a big blister on the inside of my right arch. I thought I was just adjusting to having a proper shoe and shrugged it off, putting about 90 miles on them. Then, on a whim, I bought a cheap pair of Asics to serve as a backup pair of running shoes. It was only then that I realized how much I'd been suffering! The heel of the 1011's has almost NO cushioning compared to every other shoe I've tried/run in since. After a few weeks of running in just the Asics, I threw these NB's back on for a 12 run. I had to stop after 6 because my feet hurt so bad! I relegated them to casual wear and really even avoid them for that. I just can't see any benefit to wearing these shoes. I've switched to Adidas Supernova Glides, Response Cushions, and Nike Air Pegasus as my goto shoes and the NB 1011s sit in the corner of my closet collecting dust. Though I've switched to running in neutral, well-cushioned shoes, I'd note there are several motion control/stability shoes out there that are reputed to be well-cushioned such as the Nike Air Equalon and Structure Triax. I'd definitely give other shoes a try before settling on these.

I've never tried a motion control shoe and found this one a nice blend of lot's support but some cushioning also. No question a good shoe for a bigger person.

I had worn this particular brand before, so wanted to see if I could get them through Anazon. I did and am very happy with the shoes which have given me the most comfort since my two knee surgeries in the last three years! Thank you!

I listened to all of the reviews and ordered two pairs to be safe - one 1/2 size bigger than normal size, and one a whole size bigger than my normal size. I received the smaller of the two first and found it just too big. Obviously I will have to return the pair that's a whole size larger also. Although I truly appreciate the reviews when making choices, this is one case where I wish I'd also purchased my true size also to be sure. Shoes can be tricky to buy online so go with your gut, but I definately agree with the small handful that say to beware of the others that say they run small. BTW, great shoe for motion control, and you can't beat the price!

I have used shoes for motion control and this shoe was quite stiff. It took multiple uses to break in the shoe.

I will most definitely order shoes through Amazon again, I have always been happy with everything I buy through Amazon!!!!!!!!!

These shoes are very comfortable and give good support to my feet. I normally wear size 8.5 wide and this was the size of these shoes I ordered. I think maybe a size 8 wide would have been big enough.
